The SUPERVISORY OFFICE FOR SECURITY AND INVESTIGATION AGENCYS (SOSIA) in its commitment to uphold, respect, and value data privacy rights, hereby adopts this Privacy Policy in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and other relevant policies, including issuances of the National Privacy Commission. We will provide individuals a Personal Information Collection Statement in an appropriate format and manner whenever we collect personal data from them (i.e. in the application/registration form or web page that collects personal data, or in a notice posted at the venues designated by SOSIA that conduct collection of personal data ). All personal data collected from individuals shall be processed in adherence to the general principles of transparency, legitimate purpose, proportionality, and in a manner compliant with the requirements of the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission.

The collected personal information is utilized by SOSIA for processing License, verification, data reporting to other agencies, and policy formulation pursuant to the legal mandate of the SOSIA. They enable the FEO to properly process the application, forward them to appropriate internal units for action and response, provide the requesting party with reliable information, and provide clients or complainants with appropriate updates and advisories in a legitimate format and in an orderly and timely manner.
The FEO uses Google Analytics, a third-party service to analyze the web traffic data for us. This service use cookies. Data generated is not shared with any other party. Only non- identifiable web traffic data are analyzed, including:
SOSIA ensures that personal data under its custody are protected against any accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration and disclosure as well as against any other unlawful processing. SOSIA implements appropriate security measures in storing collected personal information. Only authorized SOSIA personnel has access to these personal information, the transaction of which will be facilitated online. All information gathered shall be retained for history, audit, and other purpose with adherence to law, public policy, public order or morals and only until the lawful and legitimate purpose of the processing is achieved. To that effect, we have established procedures for securely disposing files that contain personal data.
